For those that don’t know it the Caesar salad was born in Tijuana in 1934 at this very spot that exists today.   It’s a great story and well worth looking up on Google.
Meanwhile, the restaurant is pure nostalgia from the days of US prohibition , when Americans flooded across the border for a Tijuana cocktail.
Located at what was the “tenderloin” a few years back, this section of Revolution has become a hotbed of new restaurants and shopping, and yes the occasional Zebra painted horse.
Highlights of the menu, the Caesar salad made tableside, Bone marrow in tall bones with a veal demi, Octopus and a fantastic array of Mexican wines.
The interior is old world wood paneled, dim lights, a 30 seat long bar and the music vintage Sinatra and the big bands.
Tijuana is a special place with food that rivals New York , Chicago and Los Angeles.  Each week, I’ll bring you a different Latin destination!
